Machining Services Capability Added in Schenectady Lab

The M&P Lab is proud to announce the addition of our new state-of-the-art machine shop, featuring the latest in CNC-controlled equipment. From our new Hardinge Talent 6/45 lathe to our CNC Bridgeport Vertical Machining Center, this new equipment gives us the ability to tightly control the quality of each test specimen we manufacture.

In addition, this capability allows us to accelerate turnaround time and meet the demanding schedules of our clients. Our new CNC- controlled specimen grinding services are scheduled to begin operations soon for low-stress grinding and Charpy specimen needs.

The M&P Lab will be your one-stop destination for milling, turning and grinding applications, wire EDM, abrasive saw cutting (large and small) and band saw work. Our specific capabilities include:

• Precision machining of flat and round tensile specimens
• Surface grinding of non-metallic materials
• Low-stress grind for profile grinding
• Liquid-cooled abrasive and bandsaw cutting
• Dimensional inspection of all machined specimens
• Wire EDM
• Metal finish sample prep polishing on the latest Abrapol equipment.
